"Twisted Twin 25’s" and "Illinois Valley Showdown" Return to LaSalle Speedway in 2026

Following the recent release of the 2026 World of Outlaws Late Model Series schedule and their new race dates of May 29th and 30th, officials at LaSalle Speedway & Event Center wasted no time working with the MARS Racing Series to secure a new date for one of the Midwest’s most exciting dirt late model weekends.

After a wildly successful 2025 edition that saw Bobby Pierce and Tyler Erb capture victories in the Twisted Twin 25’s on Friday night—and Pierce returning to dominate Saturday’s Illinois Valley Showdown for a record-breaking $25,000 payday, the largest winner’s purse in LaSalle Speedway history—the anticipation for 2026 is already building.

The 2026 “Twisted Twin 25’s” and “Illinois Valley Showdown” weekend will officially return to LaSalle Speedway on August 14th and 15th, once again featuring the MARS Racing Series Late Models. Fans can expect another high-intensity weekend of racing as some of the nation’s best dirt late model drivers battle it out for glory in the Illinois Valley. "We are excited to have the MARS Racing Series back again in 2026 to be part of this unique race weekend. It seemed like people really enjoyed the format from the racers to the fans" said Tony Izzo Jr., promoter at LaSalle Speedway & Event Center.
