“Freedom 40” Returns to LaSalle Speedway for 2026 Summer Nationals Hell Tour
The roar of engines and the crackle of fireworks will once again signal the start of Independence Day Weekend as the Summer Nationals Hell Tour Late Models and Summit Racing Equipment Modifieds return to the LaSalle Speedway & Event Center on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 for the highly anticipated “Freedom 40.”
After a thrilling 2025 edition—where Georgia’s Tyler Millwood captured his first-ever Summer Nationals victory and Tyler Nicely celebrated a powerful win in the Modifieds—the stage is set for another unforgettable night at one of Illinois’ most iconic dirt tracks.
“We are honored once again to be able to have the Summer Nationals to kick off Independence Day Weekend,” said LaSalle Speedway promoter Tony Izzo Jr. “We love being able to get the best of the best and put on a fireworks show for everybody in attendance.”
Fans can expect fireworks on and off the track, as the nation's most grueling and demanding dirt late model tour brings its staple mix of intensity, talent, and raw horsepower. The action-packed racing program will be capped with a HUGE Independence Weekend fireworks display, promising entertainment for fans of all ages.
More details on the event—as well as additional major announcements for the 2026 season—will be released soon.
