AFS Badger Midget Auto Racing Association Releases 2026 Schedule
Tulsa, OK
Amid the bustle of the 40th annual Chili Bowl Nationals, the Advance Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association has released their 2026 schedule, in their 91st year. With the midget racing world gathered for their annual conclave in Tulsa, OK, there was no better time to do so.
Badger boasts a slate of 21 races at seven different tracks. The season will run from May 8, where it opens with a co-sanctioned event at Davenport Speedway in Iowa, beside their sister organization the Illinois-based Midget Auto Racing Association. The season will conclude on September 26, at LaSalle Speedway in Illinois.
After the opener, Badger teams spend the next weekend, May 16, at Wilmot Raceway (Wilmot, WI). Badger will return for a second date at the popular southeastern Wisconsin track on August 29.
The initial Wilmot race is the first half of a doubleheader weekend as Sunday, May 17, marks the "home opener" at Angell Park Speedway. The fabled track will host the bulk of Badger events. The BMARA is on the card for every Angell Park go, ten in all.
From May through July Angell Park will showcase Badger and a host of other series twice monthly. Badger will race there three times in August and once in September. The usual special events at Angell Park can be expected including but not limited to the Dahlke Memorial, Fireworks Night, the Sun Prairie Corn Fest and Fireman's Nationals.
May 30, marks a return to the Plymouth Dirt Track. Located in east central Wisconsin, this popular venue will host Badger three times with the club also appearing in June and July.
It's not until June 20, that Badger pulls into its home away from home, Sycamore Speedway. A mainstay for the Badger Midget Series, Sycamore will also host both Badger and MARA for the first of three border bashes between the clubs at this Illinois facility.
After a highly successful visit in 2025, teams will tow to Wisconsin's Northwoods Region for a tilt at Eagle River Speedway. This picturesque venue is a highlight for teams as they display their talents in one of Wisconsin's vacation wonderlands and the smallest track on the circuit.
The season will end at the recently revived LaSalle Speedway. Badger and LaSalle were eager to sign a date in 2025 as the track reopened under new management, but the stars just wouldn't align. Things are in order now and Badger and MARA will visit on September 26.
2026 promises to be a fun and exciting season for the BMARA as they travel to three states and see several distinct regions of Wisconsin. With five weekends planned as doubleheaders, all including Angell Park Speedway, it's the perfect time for bucket listers to make a long weekend of it and enjoy two exciting tracks and one great series.
